A Non-Diet Dietitian (APD), Yoga & Meditation Instructor, and Energy Healer

I guide you to know how to listen and trust your body when it comes to health.  With a range of skills in enhancing body connection, let's find enjoyment in taking care of ourselves.  As a Health At Every Size® Aligned Dietitian, I practice with inclusive care for all bodies.  Valuing curiosity, compassion and best practice knowledge.

You may be able to tell, I'm not your usual Dietitian.  For 10 years I've worked in a range of health settings around the world with clients of all ages and cultures, and health concerns.  I've gained a deep understanding of what's helpful and what's not!  I became a Dietitian for my love of food and desire to help others feel their best.  And that's exactly what I want to do for you.  I'm passionate about taking the stress out of nutrition and empowering you to know how to care for your whole self, to support long-term health and body confidence.   I aim to fight back against the diet culture that makes us believe we can't trust our body, and in order to feel worthy we have to be in a constant state of improvement to change our body.  This just isn't the case.  Food and health is complex.  It's not a matter of eat this and change this.  If it were, we would all be "thin" "happy" and "healthy" as diet culture would have us believe.  There's a much bigger picture to view. 


That's what brings us here to Awake healing and health, bringing awareness within and being able to decipher the messages around us.  The body is the best source to know our individual needs.  I help build skills in understanding how to listen to your body's wisdom and navigate the complexities that surround health, diet culture and body image.  I aim to bring enjoyment back to eating with food freedom, embodied movement, mindful living, and feeling confident in your body, so you can feel AWAKE to care for your unique self.

As a non-diet Dietitian I follow the best evidence based science to guide health, rather than traditional care that focuses on weight.  I consider the physiological, mental, emotional, cultural and behavioural aspects that effect food and health.  Helping you gain a deeper understanding to enjoy self-care and practices that work for you.  As a smaller bodied health professional I acknowledge my privileges and am passionate about advocating to reduce size discrimination and ensure ethical care for all bodies, genders, abilities, and cultural backgrounds.  

Spiritual health, as evidence shows, is a valuable part of overall health.  It's often the first to be forgotten but there is growing interest in alternate practices as we seek deeper connection.  Through my love of mindfulness, yoga, the joyful movement of surfing, and a range of healing techniques (that I feel found me) I dive into my own spiritual practices.  These mindfulness practices strongly align with my approach to nutrition and self-care, as they enhance awareness and deepen self connection.   My open curiosity and connection to cultures allows my spiritual practice to grown.  It's a passion I enjoy sharing as I see the joy and clarity it brings to those I work with.
